As we move into the fall season, our community calendar begins to fill with many of the events that make Hobe Sound such a great place to live and work. This is an exciting time of year for the Chamber, with opportunities to network, support local businesses, and come together as a community.
Wouldn’t be the same without a fall charity Golf Scramble, right? We just enjoyed hosting another successful Hobe Sound Chamber Golf Tournament at Stuart Yacht & Country Club on October 2. The event brought together members, sponsors, and community partners for a great day of golf, camaraderie, raffle prizes and networking. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, supported the tournament and Stuart Yacht & Country Club for welcoming us again this year.
We also hosted another informative Breakfast at the Chapman’s School of Seamanship, featuring Martin County Property Appraiser Jenny Fields. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about Amendment 3, the property tax measure appearing on the November 3 ballot, while also gaining valuable insight into how taxable values, homestead exemptions, and assessment caps work. We appreciate Jenny taking the time to share her expertise and help educate our community on an issue that impacts so many homeowners throughout Martin County.
Looking ahead, we are excited to get moving at the Halloween Hustle 5K, taking place on October 24 at Jonathan Dickinson State Park. This event always reminds us of how amazing JDSP is and how lucky we are to have this in our backyard. This event is a fantastic opportunity for families, runners, walkers, local businesses, and community members to come together for a fun and festive morning. We encourage everyone to participate and help make this year’s event a great success.
The holiday season will be here before we know it. Be sure to keep an eye out for Hobe Sound Christmas Parade applications, which will become available this month. The Christmas Parade continues to be one of our community’s most cherished events, bringing together neighbors, families, schools, businesses, and organizations in celebration of the season. We look forward to another wonderful parade and encourage everyone interested in participating to apply once registration opens.
As always, thank you for your continued support of the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce and our local business community. Your involvement helps make our events successful and strengthens the connections that make Hobe Sound such a special place. I encourage everyone to stay engaged, attend upcoming events, and continue supporting the local businesses and organizations that help our community thrive.
I look forward to seeing you at all our upcoming Fall events!
