The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast will host its 12th annual Pup Crawl, “Hard Hats & Happy Tails,” on Saturday, Nov. 7, inviting adults to dress in construction-themed attire and visit five dog-friendly downtown Stuart restaurants while raising money for the organization. Check-in and registration will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the Promenade, next to Stuart Boathouse, and the event will run until 10 p.m.

Sponsored by McBride Legal Group, P.A., the Pup Crawl gives VIP access to Duffy’s Sports Grill, Hudson’s on the River, Taco Shack, Stack: Burgers & Bourbon and Stuart Boathouse. Participants must be at least 21 years old and will receive one complimentary drink at each stop.

Tickets are $35 per person in advance and $40 per person at the door, with all proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. Tickets may be purchased at https://hstc1.org/Post/Pup-Crawl.

This year’s theme is inspired by the construction taking place at the humane society’s Palm City shelter, which is currently under renovation. Participants who dress in hard-hat-themed attire will be eligible for a costume contest, with winners selected in three categories: Best Dressed Person, Best Dressed Pup and Best Dressed Person & Pup Duo. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and prizes.

The event is dog friendly, but all dogs must be kept on non-retractable leashes and properly cared for at all times. Pet owners should watch for signs of heat exhaustion, aggressive behavior, overstimulation or other concerns, as pet health and safety are essential. Pets will not be permitted indoors at any of the establishments, so participants bringing dogs are encouraged to use a buddy system.
