I continue to be grateful for the strong sense of community and engagement that makes the Hobe Sound Chamber so special.
We had a wonderful July Breakfast at the American Legion Post 62 as we celebrated our veterans and recognized the 250th Anniversary of America. It was a meaningful morning that gave us an opportunity to reflect on the service and sacrifices of those who have helped shape our country for this historic milestone. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such a memorable event. Gatherings like these remind us of the importance of community, patriotism, and coming together to honor those who have served.
Our July Business After Hours at The Salty Pelican Fish Shack was another exciting evening of networking. Opened earlier this year by two sisters pursuing a dream, The Salty Pelican provided the perfect setting with its great food, refreshing drinks, and laid-back coastal atmosphere. Members enjoyed a fun “Christmas in July” theme, plenty of networking opportunities, and a chance to connect with fellow Chamber members in a festive and welcoming environment. A special thank you to The Salty Pelican for their hospitality and for helping make the evening such a success.
As summer begins to wind down and students prepare to head back to the classroom, we are looking forward to kicking off the school year with our August Breakfast at Miles Grant Country Club. Sponsored by the Hobe Sound Community Chest, this event will feature Martin County School Board Superintendent Michael Maine, who will provide important back-to-school updates, information, and insights for our community. It promises to be a valuable and informative morning, and I encourage everyone to join us as we support our students, families, educators, and schools as the new school year begins.
