Tourist Development Tax Keeps Martin Beautiful

  • June 2026

Imagine the sun rising over a horizon where the sky melts into the sea, painting the water in shades of blue and green. The gentle rhythm of waves greets the shore, and a soft breeze carries the scent of salt and adventure. This is not just a place. It’s a living postcard that invites you to step in and become part of its story.

Our beaches stretch endlessly; their sands are warm and powder-soft beneath your feet. The turquoise waters are so clear you can see schools of fish dancing beneath the surface, and the gentle lapping of the tide feels like nature’s own lullaby. This destination is more than just a place to relax; it’s a playground in paradise.

Our winding waterways weave through lush landscapes, perfect for kayaking at sunrise or paddleboarding under a sky full of stars. For the thrill-seekers, the wind here is your partner steady, strong, and perfect for windsurfing. You’ll feel the rush as your board skims across the water, the spray on your face, the horizon calling you forward. And if your heart craves variety, every water sport you can imagine awaits—jet skiing, snorkeling, sailing, deep-sea fishing, and even diving into coral gardens that seem painted by the hand of an artist.

Martin County is a place where every sunrise promises a new adventure, and every sunset wraps you in the warm embrace of a day well-lived. Whether you come seeking peace, excitement, or a little of both, our beachfront paradise offers it all—wrapped in beauty, kissed by the ocean, and waiting for you to make it your own. So today, I invite you not just to see this destination, but to feel it, to let its waters refresh you, its winds inspire you, and its beauty reminds you of the joy of being alive.

The Tourist Development Tax (TDT) helps preserve everything that makes Martin County special. Visitors paying TDT help pay for the improvement and maintenance of our beaches and inlets. Tourism boosts our economy. Tourist Development Tax is a local 5% tax applied to the rental or lease of living accommodations for six months or less. The individual receiving rental payment is responsible for collecting and remitting the tax to the Martin County Tax Collector. It’s fast, convenient, and fully online. File and pay using Tourist Express at martin.county-taxes.com/tourist. For questions call (772) 288-5600.
