As we move into June, I want to take a moment to reflect on another strong and engaging month for our Chamber community.
Our May Breakfast, generously sponsored by Cleveland Clinic, was a wonderful reminder of the power of connection. The morning was filled with meaningful conversations as members connected with new faces—and even strangers who quickly didn’t feel like strangers anymore. Events like this highlight what makes our Chamber special: taking the time to learn about one another, share experiences, and continue building relationships that strengthen our community.
We also had a fantastic afternoon recently celebrating several of our Chamber members with ribbon cuttings—all in one day. It felt like a fun and meaningful “field trip” for our Chamber family as we visited both new and long-standing businesses in the area. Congratulations again to Valley Bank, Complete Synthetic Turf, and Brookdale Tequesta. Thank you to everyone who came out to support these businesses—we are proud to celebrate their growth and continued success.
Looking back on the month, our May Business After Hours at Sophia’s was another great opportunity to come together, mix and mingle, and welcome the season ahead. A special thank you to our co-sponsors, Brightway Insurance – Treasure Coast Insurance Partners and LPL Financial (Al Nicolosi), for helping make the evening both enjoyable and memorable.
Finally, I want to encourage everyone to attend an important upcoming community event. On June 18th at 5:30 p.m., the Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee will host a Candidate Forum at the Hobe Sound Bible Church Auditorium. This event is open to the public and will feature candidates from several key races, including Martin County Commission, School Board, Florida State Representative District 85, and U.S. Congressional District 21. This is a valuable opportunity to hear directly from those seeking to represent our community and to stay informed on the issues that impact Hobe Sound and our surrounding areas.
As always, thank you for your continued involvement and support. I encourage everyone to continue supporting your local Chamber restaurants and businesses—your patronage makes a meaningful difference and helps keep our community strong, vibrant, and thriving during the summer months.
I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!
John Peterson,
President, Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce,
